Kristine (Kris) Anderson will complete her MFA in Dance at Mills College in May 2011 with high honors. Some highlights of MFA program include a 2-year apprenticeship with ODC/Dance Company, performing work choreographed by Melissa Fenley, and study and performing "Trio A" choreographed by Yvonne Rider. She is interested in where movement stems from, both physically and internally. She is also a strong believer that dancing in a key to breaking down barriers between people and building community. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMtHood, where x=independently organized TED event.
At our TEDxMtHood event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. Visit TED.com to learn more.
